We have been doing lots of traveling around the PNW before we head out on our trip next month. We recently spent some time in Portland. Our New Collection Deep Moods was inspired by my time spent there.

The gorgeous muted, moody rainy days and deep, artistic sceneries photographed just beautifully. I love the beautiful coastline with deep greens and rich dark sands. The eclectic style in the city was amazing to be able to capture. I wanted to be able to get that same deep moody feeling in all my photos. That is how this preset collection came about. Fine Art Moody Film Inspired Lightroom Presets

We recently took a trip to the West Side of Seattle, WA. We had a few friends from college to meet up with and a few shoots lined up while we were in the area. We still found time to head downtown and out to the Olympic National Forrest. If you have never visited the area I highly suggest taking a visit.

The National Park is only 2 hours from downtown Seattle and has so much beauty to offer. The trails are pretty short and the terrain is very forgiving. You have beach access within a mile of your hike.

I recently created some moody film inspired Fine Art Presets and this was the perfect shoot to use them on. This pack is available within our SHOP

How to Install Photoshop Camera Raw Filters

To install Adobe Camera Raw presets in Photoshop, first download and unzip the your files.

*Mac(user)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw /Settings
* Win(user)/Application Data/Adobe/Camera Raw/Settings

Copy the preset files (.xmp) into the 'settings' folder. Copy only the .xmp presets not the entire folder.

On a Mac, the Library menu can be hidden. To reveal a hidden library, hold the Option key down while selecting the “Go” menu in the Finder.

If you continue to have issues and are on a MAC: 

Sometimes the Settings Folder can be hidden and you will need to access it from a different method: On your main screen hold down command + shift + g

Paste in:/Users/YOURUSERNAMEHERE/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings   *Change YOURUSERNAMEHERE to your user name.

How to Install Lightroom Brushes

1. Open your Lightroom Program. Go to Edit > Preferences.
2. Switch to the Presets tab and click the "Show Lightroom Presets Folder" button.
3. This should open a file browser with "Lightroom" selected.
4. Open the Lightroom folder, the open the folder "Local Adjustment Presets."
5. Place the PresetName.lrtemplate file into this Local Adjustment Presets folder.
6. Restart Lightroom to use your new preset.

More About Lou & Marks

Lou & Marks started out as a photography company specializing in weddings and portraits. During our busy wedding seasons we are crunched for time and need something to speed up our workflow. I created some times saving Lightroom Presets and Photoshop actions to help speed up our production time for not only us but for our clients.

The resources I created were so unique, and helpful that I wanted to share them with other photographers and creative individuals at a low cost. 

I have been photographing for 15 years and professionally retouching for 8 years.
I attended the Art Institute of Seattle for Design and Photography and received by BA. Since my school I have gained my experience from my own clients, and my previous employers (print magazines, photography studios, and high end product design & photography). I am experienced in editorial work, food photography, product photography from my work at MaryJanesFarm Magazine (An Organic Farm based living magazine) from 2011-2014. I am also experience in high end retouching and boudoir editing from my work with CelebrateYourSexy the #1 boudoir company in the United State.
